Wow, where have I been?
Like the icon? *points left and grins* It's my own creation. One of the fourteen icons I made spawned by my Yu-Gi-Oh obsession. So behave yourself or Yami Yugi will play a yami-no-game with you. *laughs maniacally, scaring her muses*
Damn, it's been a while since I've written in this! I'd probably do it more often if the damn web-blocker at work didn't have the main site locked out. Apparently it's not safe for kids to write in a blog, but they can read them all they want. *rolls eyes*
So, what new with me . . . Weeeelll, I went to A-kon at the beginning of June and had a blast! I cos-played as Yugi Mutou from Yu-Gi-Oh. It was AWESOME!!!! I made my own Sennen Puzzle (to-scale), colored my hair, and everything! I got a bunch of new doujinshi, Ed & Al plushies, some beautiful Egyptian art, and a few other odds n' ends. It was amazing how at ease I felt, even in full costume (duel disk and all) amongst all those people. As a matter of fact, the only time I felt awkward was at checkout time. Without my costume, I felt naked. My sisters felt the same way and when my baby sister made that comment to our father at checkout, another girl in line said she felt the same! ^O^
Anime Club started three new series, Fruits Basket, GTO, and Chrno Crusade. All excellent series. The only downside is that my guy won't be there to watch with us. *sighs* He has to stay in his hometown this semester, so I probably won't get to see him until Spring! WAH!!! Even worse, he doesn't have Internet access at home!! ;_;
On the upside, by the time he gets back, I should have lost some weight. My dad and I are going to start eating healthier and exercising together. Neither of us is fat, but I could personally afford to be at least two pant-sizes smaller. @_@
OH! I finally got a hold of two YGO CDs and these were the two I was dying to have! I am now the proud owner of all six opening-ending themes on two wonderful CDs!!!! The first CD has the first four sets, TV versions of the second set, and music only versions of all four theme sets (perfect for karaoke)! The second one covers the second through sixth sets and includes the bonus track "Fire", which is totally awesome!
*blinks* "Totally awesome"? Man, am I dating myself or what? Maa iika.
